Former Liverpool Assistant States His Prediction For West Ham Vs Chelsea Game

Former Chelsea Assistant States His Prediction For West Ham v Chelsea Game

Former Chelsea official Steve Clarke thinks Andy Carroll could cause Chelsea some problems if the striker should feature for West Ham United at the London Stadium next week.

Chelsea are at the moment preparing to take on their bitter local rivals at the London Stadium as Conte’s side look to take a step closer towards winning the Premier League title crown.

The Stamford Bridge club are the heavy favourites to lift the trophy this season after successfully building a 10-point lead at the top of the table thanks to their fine form under their new coach.

Andy Carroll has missed West Ham’s last two games due to a groin injury but has however returned to training ahead of next week’s game with Chelsea.

Steve Clarke worked with the talented striker in the 2011-12 campaign when he was still Liverpool assistant manager. And he feels Carroll could end up being the danger man for West Ham against Chelsea.

Clarke speaking to Sky Sports News HQ on Wednesday morning said he had worked with Andy Carroll and he knows that if the player is fit and on his game, he can be virtually unplayable at times.

He stated that West Ham will be hoping that the player is fit and they can then get him on the pitch to disturb a few feathers at the back for the west London club.
