Ahead Of Chelsea Vs Man United Clash: Former Captain Back Up United Striker

Former Manchester United man Issues Backing For United Star Ahead of Chelsea v Man United Game

Paul Ince is backing Marcus Rashford to shine against league leaders Chelsea in the FA Cup quarter-final at Stamford Bridge

Former Manchester United captain Paul Ince is quite confident that United star player Marcus Rashford could shine up front in the absence of Swede star Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Manchester United’s game against Chelsea in the FA Cup last eight.

The Old Trafford club are looking to win their second major trophy under new Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho after he was named as Louis van Gaal’s successor at the end of the 2015-16 season.

The red devils were dramatic 3-2 victors against Southampton thanks to Ibrahimovic’s header in the 87th minute last month at Wembley.

Since Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s free transfer to Old Trafford from Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain last summer, Rashford has struggled to secure regular first-team football.

And Ince speaking to Paddy Power about the FA Cup quarter-final at Stamford Bridge on Monday night, put forward his case for Rashford to start at west London.

He stated that even though Zlatan will be missed, it is time for Rashford to shine

Manchester United are currently in the sixth position in the Premier League table and are 17 points behind leaders Chelsea.

The Old Trafford outfit lost 4-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League last October.
