Classic Midfielder Reveals His Job At Chelsea Under Conte - Insists He Loves His Role

Chelsea Midfielder Reveals His Job At Chelsea Under New Manager

Cesc Fabregas discusses his current role in Antonio Conte's side and the reason why he likes it so much

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has explained what he likes about his current role at Chelsea in Conte’s side.

Fabregas has found his first-team opportunities limited in the Stamford Bridge club  this season following the Italian’s appointment as Guus Hiddink’s successor.

And the Spain international, though, has seized his chance to impress well whenever he was given a rare chance to start a Premier League game for the current league leaders.

He scored Chelsea’s opening goal in their 3-1 victory against Swansea City at home last weekend to help his side extend their unbeaten run.

The 29-year-old has scored three goals and also made seven assists despite six of his 19 appearances in the top flight coming from the bench this current campaign.

And Fabregas speaking to Chelsea’s website about his current role in Conte’s team ahead of their next premier league game against West Ham United at London Stadium on Monday night, said scoring a goal is beautiful and it is a fantastic feeling. But he confessed that goal scoring is not his job but that his job includes creating, assisting and controlling a game - and he loves his job.

The west London club are still seven points ahead of their closest rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the title race.
