Chelsea Former Midfielder Reveals Two Players Pivotal In Conte's Team

Chelsea Former Midfielder States Two Chelsea Players That Set The Tone

Frank Lampard discusses the impact of the duo of Diego Costa and Eden Hazard on the Chelsea team

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has explained the effect that the Chelsea duo of Diego Costa and Eden Hazard have on their team-mates at the club following Monday night’s 2-1 win at West Ham United.

Both Costa and Hazard are now closing in on their second Premier League title at the Stamford Bridge outfit after the west London side successfully moved 10 points clear of their closest rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the top of the league table.

Hazard scored the opener for Chelsea in the first half with a superb counter-attacking goal after he combined with Pedro Rodriguez to unlock the West Ham defence.

And Spanish star Diego Costa continued his prolific run of form in the 2016-17 season with Chelsea’s second goal in the second half to secure the full three points despite the home side’s late consolation goal.

In this current season, the 2015 PFA player of the year has now scored 11 times, even though Hazard’s tally is still six goals short of that of Costa’s effort up front for Conte’s side.

Lampard speaking to Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football show, explained the effect that both Costa and Hazard have on their Chelsea team-mates.

He confessed that both Hazard and Costa are hugely pivotal and have been and  instrumental too.

Chelsea are now gearing up to play Manchester United at Stamford Bridge in a FA Cup encounter.
