Report: Chelsea Lining Up Move For First Summer Signing

According to latest reports, English Premier League table leaders Chelsea FC could make Fiorentina winger Federico Bernardeschi their first summer signing as they are already lining up a summer transfer bid for the star player.

Calciomercato are reporting that the Stamford Bridge club have been keeping tabs on the talented winger in recent weeks ahead of a possible summer swoop for the 22-year-old player.

The blues were linked with a bid for the attacker in the January transfer window but a move failed to come into effect, and the story now claims that Chelsea will revive their interest in the player at the end of this season.

This season so far Bernardeschi has made 30 appearances in all competitions for Fiorentina and it was even Conte who gave him his international debut last year.

As the Stamford Bridge club are currently flying high at the top of the Premier League table, it is expected that they should have no problems in attracting some of Europe’s top talent in the summer.


Conte and his men underlined their status as the favourites to win the title this season with a 3-1 win over Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
