Antonio Conte To Agree Versatile Star Signing For Chelsea

Chelsea like other top EPL top teams, have been much inactive in the winter window. However, new reports have it that they are prepared to seal two new signings before the transfer deadline ends tonight.

The Daily Mail reported that Chelsea are closing in on a late deal to sign Bosnian international and Schalke star Sead Kolasinac. It was also added that Chelsea want to sign Craig Gordon, but his club -Celtic, do not want to sell him.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte really needs depth in the wing-back positions and someone like Kolasinac surely fits the bill.

The 23-year-old is a versatile player who can be played anywhere on the left hand side of the field. Even again, he can be utilized in the central defense and also as a defensive midfielder.

Daily Mail stated that his contract will expire at the end of the current campaign and the Stamford Bridge club are ready to pay more than Juventus - who only offered 5 million pounds -  to secure his signature before the January window closes. It was also added that Ivanovic is close to leaving Stamford Bridge.

This season so far he has featured in 18 games for Schalke  and has scored 2 goals with 6 assists. He has also so far played 22 games for his senior national side.
