Wilkins: Why Chelsea Shouldn't Allow This Player To Leave
Ray Wilkins is recently talking about why Chelsea must not let one of their vital players leave the club, and the player in question is Diego Costa.
Ahead of Sunday's trip to Burnley, Ray talks about the importance of Costa to Chelsea this season.
Wilkins says the superb attacker has proved himself as a key member of Conte's squad with his ability to “ruffle up” his opponents this term.
Following the appointment of former Juventus boss Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge in the summer, Costa has been in fine form in the Premier League this season.
The Spain international has already scored 15 Premier League goals for the Stamford Bridge club to help them build a nine-point lead at the top of the table and establish themselves as the strong favourites to win the title come May.
Even amidst pool of controversies, the striker is still of importance to the Chelsea side.
And Wilkins too has shown why he is such a big fan of the strong centre-forward, and speaking to talkSPORT, he said Costa is a throw-back who beats up centre-halves and ruffles everyone’s feathers, and is also good to watch.
The Spaniard will be expecting to feature for his side when they take on Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday in a Premier League game.
