Update On Swansea Star Striker Who Wants To Sign For Chelsea
Chelsea are linked with a move to sign Spanish international Fernando Llorente.
The Swansea striker who was part of the World Cup 2010 winning squad is also reportedly interested in joining the Premier League leaders this month.
According to a new update that was provided by Sky sources, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte wants to get the signature of the star center forward - but no contact whatsoever has been made between the two clubs.
Conte was the one to lure Fernando when he was still boss at Juventus. The player joined Swansea last summer and so far, he has scored 6 times in the league for them.
A Journalist Guillem Balague, insisted that the Italian boss wants Llorente at Stamford Bridge. It was even said that a swap deal involving Batshuayi and Llorente is moving closer.
The 22-year-old striker definitely needs to leave Chelsea for first team football. After completing his big money move last summer to the Stamford Bridge club, he has only warmed the bench mostly. Even though he has been part of the squad in all 20 PL games this season so far, he still could not even start a single game.
Perhaps we should also say that Llorente will also warm the bench if he should join Chelsea because we think no one can replace Diego Costa at the moment.
It is not yet clear if Michy and Llorente would move permanently, or just on a loan. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds.
