Chelsea Set To Recall Star Player From Bournemouth
Nathan Ake is ready to return back to Chelsea from his loan spell at Bournemouth. In the contract, Chelsea have the option to bring him back before the end of this season. The blues are doing just that.
This season so far, Ake has been outstanding for Bournemouth and he has even scored some crucial goals too. Already, it has been confirmed at Bournemouth that Chelsea are likely to cut short the player's loan spell this month. Manger Howe however admitted that it would be a huge blow for his side considering how well the player was performing since the start of the season.
"It looks like that will be the case that they will call him back, it’s not 100% finalised yet. That would be a huge blow for us and with Nathan going back our defensive resources would be stretched. It would be a huge blow to us as he’s done so well." he said.
Definitely, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte intend adding more defensive depth to his side. Conte recently claimed that Ake is a very good player and he is evaluating the player’s situation.
"Aké is a really good player and now in the last five games he’s started to play with Bournemouth and is playing every game. Honestly, I’m evaluating his situation, because Aké could be an interesting opportunity in this window, yes, for us." Conte said.
Additionally, Kurt Zouma has also returned from injury and he is expected to be a part of the first team plans once he is match fit.
This season so far, Chelsea continues having a nice time and the duo of Ake and Zouma will only make them stronger. If Chelsea can strengthen on the front, they will remain strong favourites to lift the title come May.
