Chelsea Star sends warning to Chelsea’s title rivals

Chelsea star player Marcos Alonso says Chelsea will definitely reap the benefits of not playing in Europe this term.

Alonso is of the opinion that Chelsea have a significant advantage in the Premier League title race this season due to their lack of European football this current campaign.

The Stamford Bridge club are presently the heavy favourites to win the top-flight title this season after their impressive start to the season under new Italian boss Antonio Conte.

The blues are now eight points clear of second-placed Manchester City as they attempt to try and win the title in Conte’s first campaign at the club.

Chelsea have the luxury of not having to worry about European football this term after they ended up 10th in the table last season.

Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham and Manchester United all have European competition to attend to over the coming weeks.

And Alonso thinks that gives his side a significant advantage in the race for the top-flight crown. He told Spanish radio station Onda Cero that the team is playing very well and they have adapted very well to the idea of the coach and that they hope to continue that way until the end of the season.

He noted that the team has understood perfectly what Conte wants and they are proving that every weekend, and are also training a lot and very well.

He concluded that they are free from injuries and playing with almost same eleven every weekend because they are not attending to European competitions.
