Chelsea coach Conte Reveals Players He Wants In His Squad At Chelsea
The former Juventus manager says he is hoping to promote more players from Chelsea's Academy into the first team in the coming months
Chelsea Italian coach Antonio Conte has stated that he is planning to take some of Chelsea’s Academy players into his first team in the coming seasons.
The former Juventus manager has earned lots of praise for helping to guide Chelsea to a Premier League title challenge since his appointment as the club’s new coach in the summer.
He has steered the Stamford Bridge club to the top of the Premier League table and eight points clear of closest challengers Manchester City as they bid to win the title in his first campaign in charge in the club.
And as the summer transfer window draws ever nearer, there is obviously bound to be plenty of speculation linking Chelsea with a host of new big players.
However, the manager has hinted that he is looking to promote some of Chelsea’s rising stars from the Academy into the first team at the Stamford Bridge club.
He told a news conference at Cobham on Friday afternoon that the Academy is doing a really great job and in the future he hope to absorb many players from the academy.
He made emphasis on some young players in his squad from the Academy ( the likes of Chalobah, Ake, Ruben, and Aina) and he said it is important to have a link between the first team and academy.
