Chelsea Look To Agree Star Player Signing For Chelsea - He Desires The Move

Chelsea very well strengthened their squad in the summer transfer window under new boss Antonio Conte, and of course the results have been quite fruitful.

The Stamford Bridge club are still 6 points ahead of rival Liverpool in the EPL title race and they want to further reinforce their squad in the winter transfer window.

The Italian boss lured the duo of Alonso and Luiz to improve his defense, strong Kante to strengthen his midfield, and even Batshuayi to provide cover for Diego Costa last summer.

Again, after selling Oscar, he wants a new attacking midfielder and yes Fiorentina player Federico Bernardeschi is now in the limelight.

In November last year, the Express stated that the 22-year-old versatile attacker is ready to leave his club and join Chelsea in the January transfer window.

Conte can be said to know all about the qualities of Federico as he was even the one to hand Bernardeschi his national debut back in March 2016. And since then, he has featured seven times for the Azzurri, and he was also part of Conte’s Euro 2016 squad.

The blues have been tracking the playmaker for quite some time now, and The Sun claimed that they are looking to sign him this month.

Daily Star have on the other hand reported that the likes of Barcelona, Juventu,  and Inter Milan also, are interested in him. Nevertheless, Chelsea are regarded favorites to hire his services. He has a release clause of £63million (I.e $78million) in his contract.

This season so far in 24 appearances for his Serie A side, he has scored 10 times and provided 2 assists.
